Principal Product Data Scientist

• Extensive experience in data science or similar quantitative roles supporting product organizations.
• Expert proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Deep hands-on experience with statistical modeling, experimentation, multi-arm bandit, and machine learning techniques (e.g., Regression, Classification, Clustering).
• Ability to define, implement, and operationalize product and feature-level metrics.
• Proven strategic influence and leadership in technical discussions and product strategy.
• Experience scaling analytics through automation, self-service tools, or data products.
• Strong critical thinking skills applying rational and unbiased analyses.
• Leadership experience mentoring and coaching data science teams.
• Exceptional collaboration and communication skills for influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or related field.

Nice to have:

• Advanced programming skills for simulations and prototyping data products.
• Experience validating quantitative findings with qualitative methods (e.g., surveys, user research).
• Experience with applied AI such as NLP, Large Language Models (LLMs), or Agentic AI.
• Experience in two-sided marketplaces, e-commerce, or travel technology industries.
• Master's degree or equivalent relevant programs.

• Lead and define the Data Science strategy for Product, focusing on advanced analytics, data science, and AI methodologies.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to senior Product and Engineering leadership to embed data-driven decision making.
• Drive development and adoption of data science tooling, platforms, and frameworks emphasizing automation, scalability, and reproducibility.
• Explore and integrate emerging AI technologies such as Agentic AI and AI Agents from POC to production.
• Champion best practices in experimentation, causal inference, and uplift modeling.
• Manage complex analytical projects delivering actionable commercial and customer insights.
• Mentor, coach, and develop Data Scientists and Analysts to foster technical excellence.
• Lead initiatives to scale impact through automation, self-service, and democratization of data science.
• Develop customer segmentation and predictive models to optimize product roadmaps.
• Communicate analytical and technical concepts effectively to diverse cross-functional teams.
