Senior Software Engineer 4/5 - Client And Partner Technologies

Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services with over 300 million paid memberships in over 190 countries. The Client and Partner Technologies (CPT) organization enables Netflix experiences on partner devices and builds foundational client systems and tools. The Enablement Apps (EA) team focuses on Smart TV+ partner devices and partner-facing business-to-business solutions for device management, payment workflows, and UI experiences.

• Extensive experience in software development
• Strong back-end development skills with programming expertise in JVM languages (Java, Scala, or Kotlin) strongly preferred
• Experience with .NET, Python, or Ruby acceptable with motivation to work primarily with Java and deepen JVM expertise
• Ability to innovate through iteration using prototypes and experiments
• Proven ability to operate and troubleshoot complex systems built with microservice architecture
• Experience maintaining and improving legacy systems, evaluating tradeoffs for refactor vs rebuild vs buy
• Ability to learn and use in-house software frameworks, components, and services effectively
• Outstanding communication skills, curiosity, flexibility, and selflessness

Nice to have:

• Experience with React and GraphQL, or strong interest and ability to learn quickly
• Genuine interest in full-stack development and willingness to handle front-end tasks

• Drive new technical solutions across teams from requirements to application deployment
• Work actively with product managers and design teams to scope and shape product decisions
• Revamp and update existing web applications with new paved path solutions
• Focus on streamlining user experience with simplicity
• Enhance and maintain existing applications to meet partner and stakeholder needs
• Collaborate in a cross-functional environment with colleagues of diverse expertise to achieve Netflix Everywhere goals
