Senior Software Engineer - Engineering Productivity

The Engineering Productivity team at Starburst Data Polska develops tooling, processes, and infrastructure enabling other engineering teams to ship confidently, operate reliably, and optimize resource use. The team focuses on CI/CD pipelines, reliability and incident response, FinOps, vendor management, and cloud governance to support a scalable and secure multi-cloud environment.

• Passion for software engineering, especially Infrastructure Engineering
• Experience in cloud infrastructure architecture and orchestration
• Proficient in developing software with Java and Typescript
• Good knowledge of Kubernetes
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Pulumi or Terraform
• Prior experience with Trino is a significant plus
• Demonstrated ownership, grit, and bias for action
• Ability to travel occasionally for onboarding, offsites, customer engagements, and company events

• Develop and optimize the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of Starburst Galaxy service
• Design and build core operational infrastructure using immutable cloud infrastructure paradigms
• Continuously improve engineering processes, tests, and systems to scale codebase and team productivity
• Provide considerate and timely review of peers' pull requests and design proposals
