Senior Software Engineer

Autodesk is a global leader in 3D Design, Engineering, and Entertainment software, focusing on creating software tools for buildings, machines, and movies. The role is within the infrastructure team based in Krakow, Poland, working on Civil engineering software like Autodesk Civil 3D to help civil engineers design a better future.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D, including domain knowledge.
• 5+ years programming experience in C++.
• Experience in software development within a scaled Scrum team environment.
• Customer-oriented approach.
• Experience handling large code bases and refactoring.
• Passion for improving product quality.
• Solid English communication skills (written and spoken).

Nice to have:

• Working experience or education in the AEC industry.
• Experience with Git or similar source code revision control systems.
• Familiarity or interest in learning React for UI development.
• Understanding of deployment methodology.

• Develop software and software architecture collaboratively with engineers and architects.
• Address complex engineering problems by breaking them down into manageable tasks.
• Occasionally act as feature champion overseeing implementation within the team.
• Prototype, implement, and maintain production software components.
• Perform regular code reviews.
• Write unit and integration tests.
• Perform automated testing and create scripts to support automation.
• Improve Quality Assurance processes and promote quality within the Agile team.
• Collaborate with teams to design, plan, develop, refactor, test, deliver, and maintain complex features across desktop applications, cloud services, and components.
• Participate actively in team meetings.
• Collaborate using tools such as Git, JIRA, and Confluence.
