Senior Software Engineer - Flight Data Systems

• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with significant depth in Go for backend services.
• Proven experience with high-throughput, data-intensive, or event-driven systems including pipelines, streaming ingestion, queues, and real-time APIs.
• Strong understanding of concurrency, reliability, and performance trade-offs.
• Solid knowledge of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, and data modeling.
• Experience across the full SDLC from problem framing to production deployment and monitoring.
• Familiarity with cloud environments, especially AWS, and container orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ownership mindset with proactive problem solving.
• Clear English communication skills, both spoken and written.

Nice to have:

• Experience integrating third-party data feeds with challenges like rate limits and schema drift.
• Familiarity with the aviation or travel domain.
• Experience with observability and SLO-driven operations for critical services.

• Design, build, and scale Go services that ingest flight data from heterogeneous external providers and serve normalized views.
• Own performance, correctness, and uptime of Flight Data Systems.
• Lead initiatives to modernize and optimize platform components and influence architectural decisions.
• Deploy production-ready code daily with strong testing discipline.
• Improve developer velocity via shared tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code.
• Mentor peers through code reviews, design discussions, testing practices, and documentation.
• Collaborate with product owners to define problems, identify risks, and translate ambiguous data into maintainable systems.
