Senior Software Engineer (Python)

Our client is one of the largest e-commerce platforms in Europe, used by millions of users every day. The project is named Delivery Optimization Engine (DOE), focused on enhancing logistics efficiency through Python and routing algorithms.

• At least 4 years of commercial experience in backend software development using Python and SQL
• Experience or strong understanding of logistics domain, network analysis, routing (graph theory, road network modeling, Vehicle Routing Problems)
• Experience with geospatial data concepts, e.g., H3/spatial indexing, clustering algorithms, PostGIS
• Familiarity with cloud ecosystems (preferably Google Cloud Platform) and infrastructure tools (Kubernetes, Terraform, Airflow)
• Commitment to engineering excellence including clean code, TDD, CI/CD, code reviews
• Ability to design and scale microservices architecture
• Higher technical education in Computer Science or related fields
• English language minimum B2+
• Required to work from Warsaw office once a month

• Support design and scaling of high-throughput backend services for delivery operations
• Utilize Python, microservices, and routing engines (open-source and commercial)
• Work with Google Cloud Platform components such as BigQuery and Dataflow Composer/Airflow
• Manage infrastructure using Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines
• Advocate for engineering excellence, clean code, TDD, CI/CD, and rigorous code reviews
• Design and scale microservices-based architecture

Required to work from the Warsaw office once a month.
