Senior Embedded Software Architect (m/f/d)

Our client is a family-owned German company with over 75 years of experience in technology and unique audio experiences. You will be part of building a new R&D Team in Poznan, influencing the future of the technology department and participating actively in the technological transformation. The role focuses on shaping software foundations for embedded wireless audio platforms and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams from electronics, Audio DSP, RF, and transmission systems.

• 5+ years of experience in embedded software development for real time operating systems.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or related technical field.
• Strong experience in architectural design of complex systems ensuring modularity, security, and hardware platform migration.
• Ability to design with modular thinking for reusability, robustness, and integration simplicity.
• Practical knowledge of FreeRTOS or Zephyr operating systems.
• Expertise in development tools and systems, e.g., GitHub, Azure DevOps.
• Experience with software stack development and maintenance.
• Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and aligning across disciplines.
• Strong documentation skills and clear communication of engineering intent.
• Experience in firmware development for low power, battery powered devices.
• Solid knowledge of ARM Cortex M-profile processor architectures.
• Proficiency in English for international collaboration.

• Additional qualifications or training in embedded software design and development.
• Knowledge of one or multiple wireless software stacks.

• Design architectures of complex embedded software systems across multiple product families.
• Drive main software technical decisions on platforms and systems.
• Bring innovation into designing software architectures, proactively addressing future growth and technical debt.
• Design inter-module interfaces including API and communication.
• Supervise implementation of embedded software development team.
• Drive collaboration between architects, engineers, and product managers to ensure harmonious system architecture.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to software engineers and architects.
