• Currently active NATO SECRET security clearance required.
• Minimum Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 2 years post-related experience or 8 years of extensive relevant expertise.
• At least 8 years' progressive experience in complex network engineering roles.
• Design, implement, and support scalable enterprise networks using BGP, MPLS, IPv6, OSPF, IS-IS, IP multicast, SD-WAN.
• Active CCNP (Enterprise, Service Provider) certification.
• Deep knowledge of BGP including route reflectors, confederations, communities, path manipulation, filtering (iBGP, eBGP).
• Proficient in QoS design and traffic classification models (CBWFQ, LLQ, WRED).
• Expertise in IPv6 implementation, troubleshooting, dual-stack environments.
• Knowledge of policy-based routing, route aggregation, VRF, MPLS traffic engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of multicast protocols (PIM sparse/dense mode, IGMP, MSDP, Anycast RP).
• Proficient in datacenter and switching technologies (STP, MSTP, RapidPVST, EtherChannel, LACP, Cisco Nexus NX-OS, Spine-Leaf, VXLAN).
• Strong troubleshooting skills with Wireshark, NetFlow, SNMP.
• Hands-on experience with SD-WAN technologies.
• Familiarity with DevNet, API integrations, network programmability.
• Knowledge of network security best practices (ACLs, firewalls, VPNs, IPSec, AAA, PKI).
• Proficient in network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, Terraform).
• Minimum 2 years with HP Network Automation or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years with Network Monitoring/Event Management (ideally CA Spectrum).
• Experience with Incident Management Systems like BMC Remedy.
• High knowledge of network, system, and application-level troubleshooting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of command-and-control (C2) systems and management expertise.
• Experience in site and system evaluation, test planning, technical documentation, and SOP preparation.

Nice to have:

• Active CCIE (R&S, Enterprise Infrastructure, or Service Provider).
• Postgraduate degree related to the function.
• Experience in international military and civilian environments.
• Knowledge of NATO responsibilities, structure, including ACO and ACT.

• Provide advanced Level 3 support for complex enterprise network environments.
• Lead technical resolution of high-impact and high-severity incidents.
• Perform in-depth analysis of recurring issues and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Identify and drive implementation of service optimization and operational improvements.
• Contribute to the design, planning, and implementation of network enhancements and new projects.
• Ensure technical correctness, operational readiness, and minimal service impact during changes and deployments.
• Validate and support network changes in line with governance and change management processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, external partners, and service stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing.
• Perform remote routine maintenance on Routing and Switching elements at NATO sites.
• Coordinate Routing and Switching elements centralisation, standardisation, and best practices.
• Liaise internally and externally for fault rectification activities.
• Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures.
• Coordinate and perform routing infrastructure design, configuration, and maintenance for NATO exercise scenarios and Operations.
• Evaluate management tools and capabilities practically.
• Ensure common understanding of toolsets and utilization within user bases.
• Investigate and propose long-term solutions to equipment and configuration problems.
• Coordinate on-site surveys, validations, and system acceptance testing when required.
