Senior C++ Software Engineer

The Video Devices Teams in the R&D center in Krakow at Motorola Solutions have been growing dynamically since 2019, currently comprising more than 60 specialists. They develop solutions for fixed and mobile (body-worn) cameras, providing advanced video capabilities for public safety and commercial customers, including healthcare, airports, retail, critical infrastructure, and public venues.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline
• Strong C++ programming skills, including experience with C++17/20, multithreading, and concurrency
• Experience with scripting languages, especially Python
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design
• Understanding of software engineering best practices including build environments and automated testing
• Proficient English language skills for efficient communication

Optional Qualifications:

• Experience leading decomposition of complex requirements into clear, executable technical tasks
• Experience driving technical initiatives or championing best practices
• Experience mentoring junior or mid-level developers
• Knowledge of operating system concepts such as processes, threads, mutexes, interrupt handling, and exception handling
• Knowledge of digital imaging/photography and audio/video coding, video streaming
• Experience with TCP/IP and network programming
• Experience with microservice architecture
• Experience developing embedded applications in a Linux environment for ARM target processors

• Implement advanced software modules following modern C++ design patterns
• Develop and debug Linux device drivers
• Create design documents detailing software design and algorithms
• Maintain and improve build systems using Make, CMake, Python, and Docker
• Peer review code to ensure adherence to best practices, design guidelines, and coding standards
• Support team members in achieving technical goals
• Efficient use of AI development tools
