Senior Android Developer

Intellias is hiring for an innovative automotive project creating a next-generation IVI (In-Vehicle Infotainment) media casting solution for a leading European car manufacturer. The project develops media casting capabilities for Android Automotive OS (AOSP-based), including Google Cast and Apple AirPlay. The team follows Scaled Agile and automotive industry best practices focused on software quality, technical excellence, clean architecture, and scalable solutions. The team is expected to grow to 10+ engineers.

• Strong experience with Kotlin development and Android application architecture
• Solid knowledge of C++, memory management, and STL containers
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and API design principles
• Hands-on experience with Kotlin Coroutines, RxJava, multithreading, concurrency, race conditions, deadlocks
• Experience with Android Studio and Gradle
• Familiarity with Android HAL and Android system services
• Skills in unit testing and debugging tools
• Experience across full software development lifecycle
• Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• Effective communication in English (B2+ level)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Nice to have:

• Experience with Android Automotive OS architecture
• Automotive software development experience
• Knowledge of Git workflows and branching strategies
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub)
• Experience with CMake, Make build systems
• Skills in Python or Bash scripting
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes
• Use of bug tracking tools (Jira, Bugzilla)
• Technical documentation creation

• Design and develop media casting software components for AOSP Android Automotive platform
• Analyze and review Android Automotive source code
• Optimize software components architecturally and algorithmically
• Contribute to technical decisions and solution design
• Participate in Scaled Agile ceremonies and engineering activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional technical and non-technical teams
