Business Analyst

HSBC is the largest bank in Europe and one of the largest investment banks globally. The MSS IT division provides technology solutions for its Global Banking and Markets business worldwide. The role is part of the Counterparty Credit Risk IT team responsible for exposure calculations for thousands of clients and involves migration to Cloud platforms using technologies such as Java SE, Spring Boot, Apache Beam, and Google Cloud Platform.

• Solid knowledge of Counterparty Credit Risk methodologies and risk measures including Potential Future Exposure (PFE), Credit Value Adjustment (CVA), and Risk Weighted Asset (RWA).
• Excellent written and spoken English skills (B2 level).
• Strong analytical capabilities and ability to quickly adapt to new disciplines and projects.
• Good understanding of Agile processes and techniques.
• Ability to translate functional requirements into technical specifications understandable by engineers.
• Capacity to provide innovative solutions to complex business problems.
• Knowledge of financial instruments across various asset classes such as FX, Rates, and Credit.
• Knowledge of Basel III regulations (Bazylea III).
• Experience in Agile project delivery and ability to manage multiple deadlines under pressure.

• Work with business and Transformation to gather, review, and optimize business requirements.
• Produce detailed specifications to translate business requirements for the engineering team.
• Bridge and minimize gaps between business teams, product owners, engineering, and end users throughout the project lifecycle to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulatory requirements.
• Acquire and maintain knowledge in Counterparty Credit Risk areas and actively participate in mentoring and knowledge sharing within the team.
