Cybersecurity Architect

This role is for a senior cybersecurity architect providing expertise at an EU agency headquarters in Warsaw. The position involves designing and leading secure architecture implementations, aligning cybersecurity strategies with business goals, and ensuring systems meet security and privacy standards.

• Minimum Level 7 education (master's degree or equivalent in relevant field)
• English language proficiency at C1 (CEFR) or above
• At least 10 years of ICT-relevant professional experience
• At least 8 years of experience in a similar role
• At least 4 certifications from the following or recognized equivalents: CISSP, CISA, CISM, SABSA SCF, TOGAF Foundation, CNDA, CISSP-ISSAP, CGEIT, CRISC, SCPA, SCMA, TOGAF Certified, GSNA, GCCC, GPPA
• Valid Personal Security Clearance at RESTREINT UE/EU RESTRICTED level from first assignment day
• Knowledge of cybersecurity standards, methodologies, frameworks, and best practices
• Experience in cybersecurity requirements analysis and secure development lifecycle
• Familiarity with security architecture reference models and solutions
• Understanding of cybersecurity controls, technologies, risks, and threats
• Knowledge of Privacy-Enhancing Technologies (PET) and privacy by design principles
• Awareness of legal, regulatory, and legislative compliance
• Ability to design cybersecurity systems based on security and privacy by design and default
• Capability to conduct user and business requirements analysis and produce architectural and functional specifications
• Experience proposing cybersecurity architectures aligned to stakeholder needs and budgets
• Skill in selecting appropriate cryptographic models, access control techniques, and controls
• Strong communication and stakeholder presentation skills
• Ability to provide technological design leadership and lead integration of security solutions

• Design and propose secure architectures to implement the organisation's strategy
• Develop the organisation's cybersecurity architecture addressing security and privacy requirements
• Produce architectural documentation and specifications
• Present high-level security architecture to stakeholders
• Establish a secure environment during system, service, and product development lifecycles
• Lead development, integration, and maintenance of cybersecurity components ensuring compliance with specifications
• Analyse and evaluate the organisation's cybersecurity architecture
• Conduct security reviews to assure solution architecture security
• Collaborate with security personnel and teams applying security principles
• Evaluate cybersecurity solutions' impact on design and performance
• Adapt security architecture to emerging threats
• Assess implemented architecture security levels
• Perform market evaluation to identify solutions satisfying business requirements
• Evaluate security solutions through proof of concepts
• Design solutions including ITIL service design aspects
• Contribute to the definition of the security architectural blueprint
• Integrate new solutions with existing frameworks based on security architecture
• Transition solutions to daily operations teams
• Maintain holistic view of organisation's strategy, processes, information, and ICT assets
• Link business mission, strategy, and processes to ICT and Cyber Defence strategies
• Align cybersecurity strategy and planning with business goals
• Recommend resolutions and improvements ensuring technical solution compliance with standards

The role requires a valid Personal Security Clearance at RESTREINT UE/EU RESTRICTED level from the first day of assignment. The contract is fully on-site at Frontex Headquarters in Warsaw with no travel. Data processing is governed by TechTree's data controller policies and applicable legal regulations.
