(F / M) Senior Software Engineer in Test

You'll join a greenfield project in the medical diagnostics / healthcare industry, focused on building a regulated clinical diagnostic platform supporting first-trimester prenatal screening for trisomy and preeclampsia risk assessment. As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Test Automation and Quality Engineering, you will help establish the engineering foundations of the platform by developing scalable automation frameworks, quality tooling, and CI/CD solutions that enable fast, reliable, and compliant software delivery. This is a hands-on engineering role with a strong focus on software development, technical leadership, and building solutions that promote quality by design.

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on test automation and quality engineering.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including object-oriented design, design patterns, SOLID principles, DRY, concurrency, data structures, and algorithms.
• Hands-on experience developing production-grade applications in Java, TypeScript, or another object-oriented programming language.
• Proven experience designing and building scalable automation frameworks and internal engineering tools from scratch.
• Strong knowledge of test automation architecture, test pyramid principles, API testing, integration testing, and test isolation techniques.
• Extensive experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar platforms.
• Experience using AI-assisted software development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) and integrating AI into engineering workflows while ensuring code quality.
• Experience building containerized test environments and development infrastructure.
• Ability to define technical standards and influence engineering practices across multiple teams.
• Professional English proficiency.

Nice to have:

• Experience developing software in regulated industries such as medical devices, healthcare, or pharmaceuticals.
• Experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS.
• Knowledge of Testcontainers for integration testing.
• Experience with contract testing and REST API validation.
• Contributions to open-source projects related to testing frameworks or AI developer tooling.

• Design and develop scalable test automation frameworks and quality engineering tooling.
• Build and implement a risk-based testing strategy across unit, integration, API, and critical end-to-end test layers.
• Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines to provide fast and reliable feedback through parallel execution, sharding, artifact management, and flaky test detection.
• Define and promote engineering standards, testing patterns, and best practices across development teams.
• Leverage AI-powered development tools to accelerate test generation, coverage analysis, failure investigation, and test maintenance while maintaining engineering quality and ownership.
• Build reproducible containerized test environments using Docker and Testcontainers.
• Develop shared quality engineering solutions and internal tooling that can be adopted across multiple product teams.
• Support software traceability, auditability, and compliance processes required in a regulated environment.
