Freelance Data Scraping Engineer (Python)

Mindrift operates the Tendem project, which connects specialists with AI projects to unlock the potential of Generative AI by combining human expertise with AI.

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in data engineering, web scraping, automation, or software development.
• Strong experience in Python web scraping using libraries such as BeautifulSoup and Selenium, handling dynamic content (JS, AJAX, infinite scroll) and APIs with proxies.
• Proven ability to extract data from complex structures including hierarchies and inconsistent HTML.
• Solid background in data cleaning, normalization, and validation, delivering outputs as CSV, JSON, or Google Sheets.
• Hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs) and AI frameworks to enhance automation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Self-directed work ethic with independent troubleshooting ability.
• English proficiency at upper-intermediate (B2) level or higher.

Nice to have:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related fields.
• A link to GitHub showcasing relevant work.

• Own end-to-end data extraction workflows across complex websites, ensuring coverage, accuracy, and reliable delivery of structured datasets.
• Leverage internal tools (Apify, OpenRouter) alongside custom workflows to accelerate data collection and validation.
• Ensure reliable extraction from dynamic and interactive web sources, handling JavaScript-rendered content and site changes.
• Enforce data quality standards via validation checks, cross-source consistency, and systematic verification.
• Scale scraping operations for large datasets using efficient batching or parallelization, monitoring failures and maintaining stability.

This is a freelance part-time remote position suitable for candidates located in Poland or working remotely.
