Lead Application Delivery & Application Security Engineer

The role supports a long‑term project delivered for a European Union organization based in Amsterdam.

• Minimum 4 years of experience in public sector
• F5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator
• Azure Administrator Associate

• Act as the senior technical authority responsible for designing, securing, and operating highly available application access services across hybrid and cloud environments, with core platforms including F5 BIG-IP (LTM) and Azure Application Gateway with Web Application Firewall (WAF)
• Design, implement and operate application delivery and application security services across on-premises, cloud and hybrid environments
• Lead lifecycle management of load balancing, application gateway, web application firewall, and traffic protection platforms
• Define and maintain application security controls protecting digital services against application-layer threats, malicious traffic and service abuse
• Act as senior escalation point for application delivery, application security and service availability incidents
• Ensure coordinated implementation of application delivery and security changes, including assessment of operational and security impacts
• Monitor service performance and support compliance with agreed SLAs, KPIs, security requirements and audit obligations
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations supporting service resilience, performance optimisation, automation and continuous improvement

Candidates must be located within 3 hours travel time of Amsterdam and be available within 1 day notice.
