Room 8 Group is hiring for a Core Tools Team focused on a large-scale Unreal Engine 5 open-world project.

Wymagania

  • Strong modern C++ skills in production environments
  • Deep experience with Unreal Engine 5 tools development
  • Experience building editor plugins, runtime modules, Slate/UMG or Dear ImGui tools, engine and world subsystems, editor scripting and automation
  • Strong Python skills for pipeline and tooling development
  • Experience with Perforce and automation workflows
  • REST API integration experience
  • Strong understanding of Unreal Engine systems: World Partition, Nanite, Lumen, LOD/HLOD workflows, profiling and optimization
  • Understanding of 3D content pipelines including assets, materials, textures, collision, rigs, and performance budgets
  • 4+ years of software engineering or technical tools development experience
  • Previous experience working on Unreal Engine 5 projects

Nice to have:

  • Blender, Maya, Houdini, or Substance Painter tooling development
  • C# / .NET
  • Test automation and SDET experience
  • CI/CD experience (GitLab, Jenkins)
  • AI-assisted tooling or LLM integrations
  • Rendering, graphics, or Chaos Physics experience
  • Screenshot comparison, visual validation, or telemetry systems

Obowiązki

  • Design, develop, and maintain Unreal Engine 5 editor and runtime tools
  • Build asset validation, performance visualization, and workflow automation systems
  • Develop Python-based DCC and pipeline tools for Blender, Maya, and Houdini
  • Create integrations with Perforce, REST APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and internal services
  • Design scalable, maintainable tooling architectures and technical standards
  • Mentor engineers and participate in code reviews and technical decision-making
  • Collaborate with artists, designers, QA, gameplay, and engine teams to improve production workflows
  • Contribute to the in-house automation and testing framework and ensure quality through automated testing
