Senior Platform Engineer

The client is a leading online car marketplace group operating across Europe and North America, combining market-leading brands from both regions.

• 5+ years senior experience building and operating infrastructure or platform products.
• Hands-on experience with generative AI: LLM APIs, tool/function calling, retrieval, agents, or frameworks.
• Daily use of modern AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex).
• Strong fundamentals in AWS with appreciation for Infrastructure as Code and Pipeline as Code.
• Deep understanding of developer experience and friction.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Solid engineering fundamentals: testing, debugging, code quality, production readiness.
• Familiarity with SRE/DevOps principles and observability tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog, OpsGenie).
• Proficiency in at least one of: Python, Go, or TypeScript.
• Bias for shipping working solutions from ambiguous requirements.
• Willingness to work in EDT (Toronto) time zone.

• Build and operate the internal AI platform: secure AI coding environments, AI in CI/CD, agentic workflows on AWS (Bedrock, Agent Core), and reusable building blocks.
• Own products end to end with a product mindset, prioritizing developer experience.
• Identify developer friction points and deliver solutions that improve daily workflows.
• Plan and drive work to completion, communicating with stakeholders.
• Set standards for AI tooling within the platform.
• Influence architecture and technology decisions for platform foundations including Kubernetes, CI/CD, IaC on AWS, and AI capabilities.
• Maintain platform reliability, security, observability, and cost-awareness; join on-call rotations.
• Document reusable patterns, templates, and blueprints for organizational efficiency.
