IoT Cloud Engineer (AWS/Azure/GCP)

Holisticon Connect is engaged in an international project focused on building a modern IoT Device Management Platform that supports secure device onboarding, telemetry collection, remote configuration, diagnostics, and centralized management of distributed devices in production environments.

• Strong backend engineering experience with distributed systems, APIs, databases, and production services.
• Experience with IoT, connected devices, network management systems, fleet management, or infrastructure platforms.
• Hands-on experience with MQTT or similar messaging protocols.
• Solid understanding of X.509 certificates, TLS/mTLS, secure provisioning, authentication, and authorization.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: IP, TCP/UDP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, routing, firewalls, and troubleshooting.
• Experience designing device state models, command queues, telemetry pipelines, configuration management, and safe rollout/rollback mechanisms.
• Comfortable with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Comfortable with containers, CI/CD, monitoring, logging, and production operations.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of backend languages such as TypeScript, Go, Python, Rust, Java, Scala or similar.
• Experience with protocols: MQTT, REST, WebSockets, TLS/mTLS, X.509.
• Experience with databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, TimescaleDB, Redis or similar.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies: Kubernetes, Docker.
• Experience with observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK.
• Version control with Git, GitHub.
• Experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD.

• Design and implement complete node-to-cloud architecture and scalable communication patterns.
• Build secure device identity and provisioning mechanisms based on X.509 certificates, TLS/mTLS, and authentication frameworks.
• Develop a Network Management System for device registration, heartbeat monitoring, telemetry ingestion, configuration deployment, device state management, and command execution.
• Use MQTT, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures for reliable device communication and secure OTA update workflows.
• Collaborate closely with embedded, hardware, product, and business teams.
• Work with containers, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging, and incident-oriented production operations.

Candidates must have been located in Poland for at least 5 years.
