Senior QA Backend Engineer

Core QA Competencies:

• 5+ years of commercial experience in end-to-end software testing with strong analytical test design.
• Solid architectural understanding of web and mobile applications.
• High proficiency with test and defect management tools, including Jira, Xray, TestRail, YouTrack.
• Experience with agile software development lifecycles (Scrum, Kanban).

Backend & Systems Stack:

• Strong experience with asynchronous integrations using AWS SNS/SQS or similar queue infrastructures.
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger.
• Proficient with SQL databases for writing queries, validating schema, and isolating data anomalies.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in Card Payments or Card Management Systems in Fintech or Banking domains.
• Familiarity with test automation for mobile or web interfaces.
• Understanding of REST API standards, HTTP status protocols, and API contract testing.
• Professional QA certifications like ISTQB Foundation and/or ISTQB Advanced Level Test Analyst.

• Deep-dive testing of distributed microservice architectures, verifying data flows, asynchronous states, and transaction resolution.
• Map and validate messaging architectures focusing on event queues, data ingestion routing, and message pub/sub lifecycles.
• Parse server-side logs, monitor API gateways, and evaluate database persistence to identify anomalies.
• Strategy, planning, and execution of integration, system, usability, and E2E testing suites.
• Guide cross-functional teams through User Acceptance Testing (UAT) gates.
• Foster communication and alignment across development squads to identify high-risk areas and improve platform reliability.

The position requires weekly on-site presence on Thursdays at the client's office in Warsaw (Mokotów) and mandatory attendance for periodic PI Planning sessions. English language proficiency at C1 level is essential for cross-team coordination.
