Build Infrastructure Engineer (JetBrains IDEs)

JetBrains develops highly effective developer tools, including JetBrains IDEs that support many programming languages like Java, Kotlin, Python, Go, Rust, and JavaScript. Their IDEs are used globally by hundreds of thousands of developers. The IDEs have evolved to include 14 GB of source code, over 500 developers, and hundreds of thousands of tests. JetBrains focuses on streamlining IDE development through infrastructure support for testing, builds, and releases.

• Experience with Java or Kotlin stack development, with ability to write readable and maintainable code
• Familiarity with build systems such as Bazel, Gradle, or Maven
• Experience with DevOps tooling like AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, Packer, or Ansible
• Knowledge of Linux fundamentals and shell scripting; comfortable with basic system administrative tasks
• Understanding of algorithms behind the code you write
• Strong teamwork skills with openness to diverse opinions and ability to support your point of view with sound reasoning
• Readiness to communicate and collaborate closely with other teams
• Willingness to grow professionally by learning and applying new approaches and technologies
• Pride in your work
• Contributions to open-source projects or development of personal projects

• Support and develop infrastructure for quick and easy test runs, installer builds, and product releases
• Collaborate closely with other teams to ensure efficient infrastructure operations
