Database Developer

Logifuture is a market leader in 360-degree B2B solutions for igaming operators – across tech, product, operations, data and marketing. The company employs over 300 personnel across 5 countries, providing proprietary technology and global services in the iGaming sector.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in database development with hands-on expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
• Working knowledge of .NET applications and data access patterns, including experience with Dapper or similar lightweight ORM/micro-ORM frameworks.
• Advanced knowledge of stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, indexes, transactions, and query optimisation.
• Strong experience analysing execution plans and identifying performance bottlenecks in complex or high-volume systems.
• Solid understanding of indexing strategies, locking, blocking, deadlocks, isolation levels, and transactional consistency.
• Proven ability to design and optimise database solutions for performance, scalability, and reliability under heavy load.
• Strong understanding of database design principles, data modelling, normalisation, and relational database architecture.
• Experience supporting production systems and troubleshooting performance or stability issues in business-critical environments.
• Good understanding of DBA-related activities such as monitoring, backups, maintenance plans, SQL Server Agent jobs, security, and availability considerations.
• Ability to collaborate closely with Developers and DBAs to translate application requirements into efficient and sustainable database solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear communication of technical risks and recommendations.
• Previous experience in the iGaming industry is a plus.

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient T-SQL code, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and database scripts.
• Work on database design and data modelling activities, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business requirements.
• Analyse, troubleshoot, and optimise complex queries, execution plans, indexes, and database objects to improve performance and resolve production incidents.
• Support Developers in writing efficient SQL queries and reviewing database-related changes before production.
• Support second-level support team in analyzing and resolving escalated operational database requests.
• Provide technical guidance on when database logic should remain within SQL Server, particularly for high-volume or performance-sensitive operations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of database development standards, best practices, and review processes.
• Define and contribute to data retention policies aligned with business, technical, performance, and compliance requirements.
• Act as a technical bridge between development and database administration to align application needs and database operational requirements.
