Senior Software Test Engineer

At Jacobs’ Krakow office, the team builds digital solutions supporting complex real-world engineering and infrastructure projects globally. The role is part of the growing Digital & Data Hub, cooperating with high-impact international teams focused on quality, innovation, and collaboration.

• 5+ years of experience in software testing and test automation with Java-based applications.
• Proven experience developing and maintaining test automation frameworks.
• Solid understanding of test design techniques, strategies, and quality assurance practices.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.
• Experience in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently on complex testing tasks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Git.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reusable, and robust test automation frameworks supporting multiple applications, environments, and platforms.
• Contribute to the implementation of test automation strategies, standards, and best practices.
• Review business and technical requirements to identify test scenarios and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Develop, execute, and maintain automated test suites using Java, Selenium, Cucumber, API testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, performance, and system testing.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, Architects, and DevOps teams for testability and defect detection.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and support root cause analysis.
• Continuously improve test processes, frameworks, and automation coverage.
• Support and mentor junior team members via knowledge sharing and code reviews.
• Provide clear updates on testing progress, risks, and quality status.
• Contribute to design and architectural discussions focusing on maintainability, scalability, and testability.
• Promote quality-focused mindset and continuous improvement initiatives.
