Senior Kotlin Platform Engineer (Remote)

• Very good knowledge of Kotlin.
• Solid commercial experience programming on the JVM platform.
• Deep knowledge of Java and internal JVM mechanisms.
• Ability to design high-quality APIs and programming libraries.
• Experience in analyzing and solving complex technical problems.
• Ability to create project documentation and justify architectural decisions.
• Very good knowledge of design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• Independence, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.

Nice to have:

• Experience with implementation or analysis of the standard Java library.
• Experience in performance engineering and code optimization.
• Knowledge of issues related to Unicode, internationalization, and application localization.
• Experience in designing and maintaining open source libraries.

• Creating and developing key libraries and components of the Kotlin ecosystem.
• Designing and maintaining APIs used by a broad community of developers.
• Participating in defining the direction of library, tool, and Kotlin language functionality development.
• Analyzing and implementing solutions based on international standards such as Unicode, time zones, and data formats.
• Collaborating with a team of experts in architectural and design decision-making.
• Creating technical documentation, specifications, and proposals for changes.
• Optimizing performance of libraries and APIs for the JVM and modern runtime environments.
• Researching solutions used in other programming languages and applying best practices in designing Kotlin APIs.
