Senior Data Engineer

Scalo is working on projects related to building and developing a data platform (Data Lake / Data Warehouse) using technologies like Oracle, PostgreSQL, Google BigQuery, Informatica PowerCenter, Kafka, Pub/Sub, Python, and cloud tools on GCP.

• Experience in designing and building modern data warehouses.
• Experience in building ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases Oracle and PostgreSQL, including design, building, and tuning.
• Knowledge of Google BigQuery.
• Experience with Informatica PowerCenter.
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture technologies like Kafka and Pub/Sub.
• Comfortable working in a Linux environment.
• Proficient in Python.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Apache Airflow.
• Experience with Rust.
• Experience with Apache Spark.
• Experience with Apache technologies in general.

• Participate in the project for building and developing a data platform (Data Lake / Data Warehouse) using technologies like Oracle, PostgreSQL, Google BigQuery, Informatica PowerCenter, Kafka, Pub/Sub, and Python.
• Work in a data/data platform team responsible for development and maintenance of data feeding processes and data processing architecture.
• Design and develop ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Build and develop data warehouses and Data Lakes.
• Perform data analysis, logical and physical modeling.
• Optimize SQL queries.
• Create online and offline data processing workflows.
• Support testing and deployments.
• Resolve production incidents and problems.
• Work in a hybrid model with 1 day per week at the office in Warsaw.

Work model is hybrid with 1 day per week onsite in Warsaw office.
