Backend QA Engineer | Test Automation

• 2+ years of experience in Backend QA, Test Automation, or Software Testing.
• Hands-on experience with backend and API testing, including building automated test suites.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or Rest Assured.
• Programming skills in Java or Python.
• Experience with UI automation frameworks such as Playwright.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience creating test cases and working with Jira and Confluence.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and spoken English.

Nice to have:

• ISTQB Foundation certification.
• Experience with SQL, Git, Docker, and CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Experience testing microservices and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Swagger, OpenAPI, performance or security testing.
• Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments.

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for backend services and APIs.
• Perform API, functional, regression, and non-functional testing.
• Collaborate closely with developers and product teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Review requirements and acceptance criteria to ensure features are testable.
• Identify, analyze, and help resolve software defects.
• Support UI test automation using Playwright.
• Contribute to improving automation frameworks, QA processes, and testing best practices.
• Document testing activities using Jira and Confluence.
