Wymagania
- Over 10 years of experience in the game development industry with leadership roles in game design.
- More than 5 years managing large, multidisciplinary teams or departments.
- Experience working in AAA, co-development, external development, or live-service environments.
- Proven track record managing client relationships and supporting business development.
- Experience leading estimation processes, proposal preparation, or bid management.
- Advanced knowledge of game design disciplines, production methodologies, and development pipelines.
- Demonstrated ability in organizational development, strategic planning, and change management.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to have:
- Experience working with multiple international publishers and development partners.
- Experience leading large-scale RFP responses and business proposal processes.
- Experience managing globally distributed teams.
- Experience building scalable organizations delivering multiple projects across various game genres.

Obowiązki
Department Leadership:
- Define and implement the long-term vision, strategy, and goals of the Design Department.
- Align department priorities with company objectives, market trends, and client needs.
- Initiate continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency, scalability, quality, and operational excellence.
- Set and monitor KPIs and organizational health metrics.
- Create and maintain an effective organizational structure including Directors, Leads, Subject Matter Experts, and individual contributors.
- Ensure competency coverage across all design disciplines.
- Evaluate organizational effectiveness and implement structural improvements.
- Lead succession planning and leadership development initiatives.
- Directly manage Design Directors, Associate Directors, and senior department leadership.
- Define career development paths, performance expectations, and growth opportunities.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and leadership skill development.
- Collaborate with Talent Management on recruitment, staffing, retention, and succession strategies.
- Proactively address engagement, performance, retention, and organizational risks.
- Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Conduct regular department meetings communicating strategy, priorities, updates, and business goals.
- Promote knowledge sharing via workshops, presentations, mentoring, and communities of practice.
- Build an inclusive environment supporting innovation and high performance.
Design Excellence & Project Oversight:
- Oversee game design execution across all projects.
- Establish quality benchmarks and governance to ensure consistency across teams.
- Support Design Directors and Leads in resolving complex design challenges and maintaining design excellence.
- Lead workforce planning, balancing resource utilization, skill development, succession, and project needs.
- Review and approve strategic staffing recommendations for key initiatives.
Bid Management & New Business Leadership:
- Oversee the end-to-end bid development process for all new business opportunities.
- Serve as the main accountability point for bid quality, consistency, and submission readiness.
- Partner with Business Development, Account Management, and Executive Leadership on bid/no-bid decisions.
- Ensure bids meet client requirements, business objectives, studio capabilities, and profitability goals.
- Lead solution development including design approaches, delivery models, team structures, schedules, and collaboration strategies.
- Collaborate with Design, Art, Engineering, Production, QA, and PMO to create comprehensive, feasible bids.
- Balance competitiveness, quality, feasibility, and commercial results in all proposals.
- Lead estimation activities for new business opportunities establishing methodologies, standards, templates, and verification processes.
- Continuously improve estimation quality and forecasting accuracy.
- Participate in client discovery sessions and support or lead pitch presentations.
- Present design approaches, staffing models, and production methodologies to clients.
- Build client trust through expertise, preparation, and clear communication.
- Coach department leaders in client-facing activities.
- Act as escalation point and Executive Producer for client accounts post-project start.
- Establish and maintain proposal management processes, standards, templates, and best practices.
- Coordinate contributions from involved departments.
- Ensure timely delivery and quality compliance of proposals.
- Analyze bid results and implement improvements to increase win rates, estimation accuracy, and bid efficiency.
Standards, Processes & Capability Development:
- Establish, maintain, and evolve department standards, methodologies, and best practices.
- Implement consistency in project reviews, documentation, estimation practices, bid development, and planning.
- Audit workflows and processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and scalability.
- Ensure frameworks align with project and client needs.
- Define and execute learning and development strategies within the department.
- Identify current and future competency requirements across design disciplines.
- Develop training programs, mentoring initiatives, and career growth opportunities.
- Promote continuous improvement in design craft, communication, leadership, and industry knowledge.
