Wymagania
- Deep expertise in backend distributed systems engineering, addressing performance, caching, and storage challenges at scale.
- Strong familiarity with high-throughput data tools such as Kafka, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, Redis, and distributed NoSQL databases.
- Proven experience as a Senior Engineering Manager or Director managing managers and aligning multi-team operations.
- Pragmatic and product-minded problem solver focusing on business purpose as well as technical implementation.
- Experience delivering complex infrastructure migrations and upgrades in fast-paced environments.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills to explain technical complexity to non-technical stakeholders.
Obowiązki
Core Areas of Impact & Scale:
- Design highly concurrent, fault-tolerant massive-scale ingestion pipelines with guaranteed transactional integrity.
- Drive evolution of low-latency pub/sub and messaging transport layers to sync state across microservices.
- Optimize indexing strategies, query execution plans, and retrieval algorithms for sub-second search results over petabyte-scale datasets.
- Scale high-volume data stores responsible for tracking, auditing, and exposing system-wide mutation logs in real time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define long-term technical and organizational roadmap for Data Infrastructure aligned with business objectives.
- Direct-manage, coach, and elevate Engineering Managers and Principal Engineers fostering ownership and technical excellence.
- Collaborate with Product Directors, Principal Architects, and stakeholders to unblock product teams with robust data APIs.
- Partner with Group Tech Lead to evaluate infrastructure trade-offs ensuring scalability and maintainability.
- Prioritize continuous value delivery, overcoming system limitations with creative engineering.
