Senior Technology Specialist - Software Engineer (Golang Stream Lead)

Digital & Technology Team (D&T) is an integral division of HEINEKEN Global Shared Services Center committed to digitalizing and integrating processes, ensuring best-in-class technology, and embedding a data-driven culture.

• 8+ years of experience with modern data architectures and relevant technologies
• Strong experience in Golang development or other contemporary programming languages
• Strong problem-solving skills in Golang
• Decision-making abilities balancing technical feasibility, business requirements, and resource constraints
• Proven effective communication with stakeholders at various levels
• Experience with AWS or other public cloud providers
• Expertise in data modelling, design patterns, and building scalable and secure analytical solutions
• Strong experience with relational databases
• Proven experience in code testing and building high-quality software
• English at C1 level
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of work

Nice to have:

• Experience with distributed systems at scale
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools (Github Actions, Argo CD)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tooling such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Technical leadership experience
• Preferably experience with containerized environments (e.g., Kubernetes)
• Strong communication skills

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code to meet project requirements
• Lead and mentor a team of 5–6 software engineers from a technical standpoint
• Provide architectural guidance, code quality oversight, and hands-on technical leadership
• Perform 50% hands-on development and 50% tech leadership as an individual contributor
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain high-performing applications
• Identify and resolve software issues to ensure continuous operation
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to coding standards
• Stay updated on latest methodologies and emerging technologies
• Contribute to projects driving real-time, data-centric initiatives
• Advocate for a culture of process and data quality within development teams
• Gather requirements and assist in building roadmaps and architectures for Product Team objectives
• Ensure solution quality and proactively address technical debt
• Follow agile development methodologies
