Head of Programme (f/m)

GSM Automotive currently has manufacturing infrastructure spanning two continents and a diverse product range from simple engine stickers to precisely designed, complex illuminated elements produced globally.

• Degree in engineering preferred (mechanical engineering, electronics, production management)
• More than 10 years experience in engineering or project management, especially with companies like VAG, FMC, JLR, BMW
• Proven experience leading cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, production, sales)
• Fluency in English and German
• Knowledge of the IATF 16949 quality management system and the VDA 6.3 standard
• Proficiency in tools such as APQP, FMEA, and PPAP
• Ability to manage programme budget and adhere strictly to deadlines
• Certifications such as PMP are highly desirable
• Knowledge of requirements management and both agile and traditional methodologies
• Ability to resolve conflicts and conduct difficult negotiations with customers and suppliers

• Preparing, implementing and reporting on the basis of a robust ‘Gateway’ management plan
• Leading new programme launches ensuring on-time delivery
• Introducing and managing a project cost authorisation process for each launch activity to keep projects within budget
• Coordinating and directing projects and integrating business activities
• Contributing to the Cost Request process including project feasibility
• Supporting cost proposals to customers when required
• Maintaining contact with existing and prospective customers
• Working with Management Team to improve company performance against KPIs
• Motivating team members by offering guidance, support, and mentoring
• Liaising with Senior Vice President Business Development & Strategy on team member performance and discipline
• Completing Performance Development Reviews for team members
• Supporting preparation of budget proposals
• Assisting in GSM Automotive activities as required
• Preparing and reporting on site Programme Management activities for management review meetings
