QA Automation Engineer

• Cross-browser Web/UI functional and exploratory testing.

• API testing using Postman/REST, with familiarity in HTTP and JSON.

• Risk-based test design including boundary, edge, and negative cases.

• AI-assisted test creation utilizing LLM tools (e.g., Claude Code) to generate test scenarios and identify coverage gaps.

• Prompt-based debugging and triage using AI tools for failure investigation, logs, and error pattern analysis.

• Basic SQL skills for data validation.

• Experience reading logs and error monitoring tools such as Sentry, ELK, or CloudWatch.

• Familiarity with Git/GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and regression suite concepts.

• Code-reading fluency in TypeScript to review and assess AI-generated test code.

• Preferable: understanding of entitlements plus subscription/payment flows.

• Soft skills: product and client mindset, ownership and curiosity to raise risks early, AI enthusiasm and proficiency, comfort with ambiguity, and collaborative attitude sharing feedback with developers.

• Software/tools: daily use of Playwright, TypeScript, Postman, AWS; experience with AI tools like Claude Code and OpenSpec; exposure to SQL, Git/GitHub, and release management; debugging and root cause analysis skills, including AI tools.

• Be an AI power user: generate test scenarios and edge cases using Claude Code, draft and extend tests in Playwright and TypeScript AI-first, triage flaky tests, and develop an AI-assisted testing playbook.

• Apply judgment on AI-generated coverage: perform functional, exploratory, UX, and integration testing beyond AI coverage to catch issues not covered by acceptance criteria.

• Champion proactive client monitoring: contribute to automated regression and platform monitoring, test real production flows, and translate findings into actionable insights.

• Support quality ownership across the team: assist developers in first-line testing, share feedback and best practices, review test evidence at code review, and handle complex or client-impacting testing.

• Proactive engagement: join feature scoping with Product, draft and refine test plans using AI, define acceptance criteria and validation steps, and support user acceptance testing.
