Infrastructure engineer

XIAG is an international IT company creating mobile and web applications for Swiss businesses in B2B and B2C sectors. Their projects span industries including food products, airlines, banks, and travel portals with client partnerships typically lasting 7-8 years or more. The company is located at Zurawia street, 45, Warszawa.

• Knowledge of TLS/x509 certificates and encryption basics
• Verbal and written communication skills in English
• Team collaboration skills
• Ability and motivation to learn new technologies and approaches
• Experience in system administration with Debian and Ubuntu
• Solid understanding of Linux systems and network stack
• Hands-on experience with SCM (git) and configuration management tools (Ansible, SaltStack)
• Familiarity with distributed systems

Nice to have:

• Hands-on experience running Kubernetes
• Experience with ClusterEngine: Corosync, Pacemaker
• Strong understanding of networking protocols and architectures

• Manage and monitor Unix-like systems (primarily Debian/Ubuntu)
• Coordinate tasks with developers and other sysadmins
• Maintain infrastructure across local and remote environments
• Communicate task scope and complexity to stakeholders and managers
• Adopt new technologies and implement automation for infrastructure and processes
• Ensure security and reliability of systems
• Share 24x7 coverage of monitoring alerts in coordinated shifts with the team
