Software Engineer III, Core Data

• Familiarity with Scala, Java, MySQL, Pub/Sub, and BigQuery
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience
• Strong understanding of common algorithms, data structures, and code design principles
• Strong grasp of high-scale distributed systems
• Passionate about database scale and performance challenges
• Strong sense of ownership, persistence, drive, and communication skills

Nice to have:

• Experience with GCP, AWS, Kafka, Kubernetes

• Help define the future of Core Data architecture in the cloud and evolve systems accordingly
• Design novel approaches to scale and observability challenges related to increased data tier usage
• Develop services to identify, eliminate, and prevent data inconsistencies or corruptions
• Provide guidance to client engineering teams on usage of near-real-time data interfaces
• Promote adoption of near-real-time interfaces across engineering by identifying compatible use cases
• Develop and implement initiatives to ensure systems meet availability, performance, and reliability SLOs
