Lead Product Owner / Technical Project Manager

The role is with VM.pl on a project for a DACH-based client providing compliance services for the telecommunications sector. The project involves building a multi-tenant, cloud-native SaaS platform supporting production and preservation orders under the EU e-Evidence Regulation, compliant with ETSI standards.

• At least five years as Product Owner or Product Manager for B2B SaaS products
• Experience leading Agile or Scrum projects within distributed teams
• Proficiency in gathering requirements and creating development-ready user stories
• Very good knowledge of Jira or Azure DevOps including backlog and sprint reporting
• Ability to configure, monitor, and analyze flow metrics
• Strong technical understanding to cooperate with architects and developers
• Ability to read OpenAPI specifications and discuss data models and architecture
• Experience managing Time and Materials project scope
• Ability to document change requests and communicate impacts
• Very good written and spoken English
• Direct, collaborative, and proactive communication style with international stakeholders

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of German
• Experience in telecommunications, LegalTech, GovTech or compliance projects
• Knowledge of GDPR, DPIA, lawful interception, or telecom regulations
• Familiarity with ETSI TS 103 120 or ETSI TS 104 144
• Practical experience with AI or LLM tools in PO or PM roles
• Experience with Claude Code or similar agentic AI tools
• Experience working with clients under significant business and delivery pressure

• Leading knowledge transfer and clarifying business, legal, and technical requirements
• Translating compliance requirements into development-ready user stories and MVP backlog
• Prioritising product scope with the client's Product Manager or Product Director
• Taking full ownership of backlog management, sprint planning, refinement sessions, product demos, and retrospectives
• Ensuring compliance with Definition of Ready and Definition of Done
• Monitoring and reporting flow metrics like velocity, lead time, cycle time, WIP, and cumulative flow
• Managing MVP scope, dependencies, blockers, and change requests
• Assessing impact of changes on project timeline, cost, and scope
• Using AI agents for requirements analysis, compliance mapping, and user story preparation
• Proactively communicating risks, delays, and mitigation plans
• Collaborating daily with client, architect, and distributed development team
