Security Engineer

Auctane is a global company providing mailing and shipping software products, enabling businesses worldwide to mail and ship billions of items annually. Their product family includes ShipStation, Stamps.com, Metapack, GlobalPost, and Packlink, with partners such as Amazon, UPS, USPS, eBay, BigCommerce, Shopify, WooCommerce, and Walmart.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical field
• At least 3-4 years of experience in the Cybersecurity field
• Advanced experience in one or two security domains within Enterprise and Cloud infrastructures to develop threat detections and mitigation strategies
• Strong problem-solving and research skills for troubleshooting
• Curiosity and willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly
• Ability to write clear technical documentation and explain security issues to technical and non-technical audiences

Nice to have:

• Direct experience in cybersecurity projects related to engineering and operations
• Foundational security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or AWS Security certifications

• Design, implement, and maintain organizational security systems and solutions
• Develop controls on security systems through automation and feature development supporting vulnerability and incident detection
• Perform threat and risk assessments to prioritize and ensure remediation closure
• Develop and operate Incident Response and Risk Management playbooks, adapting them during incidents
• Learn and adapt new technologies and processes based on vendor training and market research
