Senior Security Engineer

AUCTANE Poland is a company with a global engineering and operations Information Security Group, operating as part of the broader R&D Tech function that utilizes modern architectural patterns and technologies, including AI. The role is based in Wrocław or Zielona Gora and supports securing the Enterprise and Cloud Infrastructures with a focus on cybersecurity practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• Over 6 years of progressive cybersecurity experience, with 3-5 years leading large scale implementations.
• Experience in defining and leading several cybersecurity programs for large organizations.
• Advanced expertise in one or two security domains within Enterprise and Cloud Infrastructures.
• Proven ability to lead projects and programs, define roadmaps, and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders including senior management.
• Experience leading engineers and analysts and collaborating with external teams.
• Ability to deliver high-quality results under demanding timelines.
• Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, AWS Security, GCP Security.

Nice to have:

• Expert knowledge of AWS, Azure, and/or GCP security.
• Expertise in vulnerability and risk management in public cloud and enterprise environments.
• Experience leading advanced threat detection and prevention programs.
• Skill in developing security patterns with architectural recommendations.
• Advanced experience in software development, automation, and basic AI knowledge.

• Review and enhance playbooks and identify automation opportunities in Security detection and response.
• Liaise with Engineering teams on incident response, vulnerability management, and remediation.
• Provide technical expertise to support security incidents using leading security tools.
• Work with AWS and GCP cloud-native security tools such as GuardDuty, Security Hub, and GCP Security Command Center.
• Conduct regular security reviews, vulnerability and risk assessments, and audits using tools like Wiz and Crowdstrike.
• Promote “Security by Design” across Engineering Teams and business units.
• Participate in cybersecurity incident processes including investigation, incident management, and post-mortem analysis.
• Respond swiftly to emerging security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Engage in learning and training to enhance knowledge of Security Orchestration and Automation.
