Freelance Mobile App Developer (iOS / Android)

Mindrift connects specialists with AI projects from major tech innovators, focusing on unlocking the potential of Generative AI through real-world expertise globally. This freelance role is part of the Tendem project, which develops native and cross-platform mobile applications within a hybrid AI + human environment.

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in mobile app development.
• Hands-on experience with at least one of: React Native, Flutter, Swift/SwiftUI (iOS), or Kotlin/Jetpack Compose (Android).
• Strong foundation in mobile UI/UX patterns, navigation, state management, and platform guidelines.
• Experience integrating REST APIs, handling asynchronous data, and managing local storage.
• Familiarity with native device APIs including notifications, camera, location, storage, and biometrics.
• Experience with mobile build tools, code signing, and app submission to App Store / Google Play.
• Portfolio of shipped mobile apps; App Store / Google Play links preferred.
• English proficiency at Upper-intermediate (B2) level or higher.

Nice to have:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related fields.
• Experience implementing in-app purchases, ads, or subscriptions.
• Familiarity with backend services such as Firebase or Supabase.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to performance, stability, and platform polish.
• Ability to work independently and ship complete mobile features.

• Build mobile applications using React Native, Flutter, Swift (iOS), or Kotlin (Android).
• Implement responsive mobile UIs following iOS HIG and Material Design guidelines.
• Integrate native device features such as camera, push notifications, location, storage, and biometrics.
• Connect apps to backend APIs, manage offline state, caching, and synchronization.
• Implement monetization features like in-app purchases, ads, and subscriptions.
• Evaluate and refactor AI-generated mobile code for correctness, performance, battery use, and maintainability.
• Debug platform-specific issues and prepare builds for distribution via TestFlight and Play Console.
