Engineering Manager II, Kubernetes Platform

• 5+ years of experience in software or infrastructure engineering with 2+ years in a technical leadership or management role.
• Demonstrated experience improving developer experience through platform, tooling, or workflow investments.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes internals and ecosystem tools including Helm, ArgoCD, Istio, Linkerd, and Prometheus.
• Experience managing production Kubernetes clusters on major public cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Proven experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and Pulumi and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of Linux systems, networking, and containerization.
• Passion for open source and staying updated with the community.

• Lead a team of experienced engineers in Poland.
• Define the team's roadmap, execution plans, and take ownership of project delivery.
• Develop team members through 1:1s, career planning, coaching discussions, and hiring.
• Build a collaborative, inclusive team focused on customer impact.
• Cultivate a culture of excellence emphasizing execution, quality, and scale.
• Organize stand-ups, sprint planning, technical discussions, and manage sprint task statuses.
• Collaborate with product teams to scope new features, provide project estimates, and inform quarterly commitments.
• Work with cross-functional partners and stakeholders to ensure significant business impact.
• Manage and coordinate the team’s on-call rotation for incident response, participate in escalated incidents, and drive improvements to minimize disruptions.
• Represent Box internally and externally.
