Senior Software QA Engineer / SDET

For our client we're looking for a talented and motivated Senior Software Quality Engineer. The airline retailing and merchandising platform enables airlines to create personalized offers and dynamic pricing for customers. The team delivers a modern, omni-channel, real-time retailing shopping experience and consolidates common components including the offer management system. This role offers experience with high-performance products interacting with mission-critical systems.

• 4-6 years of professional experience in software testing or quality engineering
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, processes, and quality metrics
• Programming skills in Java
• Hands-on experience with automation tools & frameworks such as Cucumber, Selenium, JMeter, SoapUI
• Experience using AI-assisted testing and quality tools including AI-supported test case generation and intelligent defect analysis
• Ability to balance AI-generated insights with engineering judgment and risk-based testing decisions
• Experience with AI-driven test development maintaining accountability for test design, correctness, security, and maintainability
• Experience validating authentication and authorization behavior via API and integration tests
• Effective collaboration with Software Engineering, Platform, Security, and SRE teams
• Strong English communication skills suitable for cross-geo and cross-functional collaboration
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and shift-left testing approaches
• Basic working knowledge of Unix/Linux commands and application servers (e.g., Tomcat)
• Ability to configure, validate, and troubleshoot test environments

• Creates and maintains test plans (functional, regression, and integration)
• Designs, implements, and maintains test cases with full traceability to requirements and story cards
• Develops and maintains automated regression test suites
• Utilizes AI-assisted testing tools to accelerate test design, improve coverage, and identify edge cases
• Executes functional, regression, and nonfunctional testing
• Identifies defects, documents findings, and collaborates with the scrum team on resolution
• Accountable for overall product quality across functional, regression, and integration testing
• Actively promotes collaboration and quality mindset within the scrum team
• Provides input into release milestones and readiness assessments
• Coordinates test planning and execution across multiple environments
• Produces and communicates quality metrics and risk assessments
• Attends and contributes to scrum ceremonies
• Updates testing status in Rally daily
• Collaborates with Software Engineers to ensure appropriate test coverage for new or changed functionality
• Participates in estimation and sizing activities
• Engages early in solution design discussions to influence testability and quality
