Director of IT & Security

Ajaia is a rapidly growing AI consultancy and product studio dedicated to AI Strategy and Advisory, AI Engineering and Automation, Workforce Training and Enablement, and Custom Product Development. The company builds proprietary AI products, copilots, and vertical solutions, combining technical execution with change management to deploy secure, compliant, and high-impact AI solutions.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 8 years experience in IT operations, information security, cloud administration (GCP, Azure), or compliance and audit management (HIPAA, SOC 2).
• Hands-on multi-cloud environment management experience.
• Working knowledge of HIPAA and SOC 2 compliance including audits.
• Experience developing security policies, access controls, and incident response procedures.
• Strong understanding of identity management (SSO, MFA, RBAC), endpoint management, and network security.
• Proficiency with AI tools and automation to reduce operational workload.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills for non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable working autonomously in remote and distributed environments.

Nice to have:

• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CompTIA Security+.
• Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipeline security, infrastructure as code (Terraform, Pulumi).
• Vendor risk management and third-party security assessments experience.
• Experience supporting regulated industries like healthcare or financial services.
• Familiarity with GDPR, DPDPA, or similar data protection frameworks.
• Experience with GRC tools (e.g., Vanta, Drata).
• Experience with SIEM platforms, vulnerability management, or penetration testing coordination.

• Own and manage internal IT operations including devices, access, and onboarding.
• Establish and maintain security posture through policies, monitoring, and incident response.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, SOC 2, and vendor risk management.
• Build and manage multi-cloud infrastructure on GCP and Azure.
• Automate operations using AI tools to improve monitoring and efficiency.
