Automation Engineer (f/m) - Łódź

Bosch Polska is hiring an Automation Engineer to develop and improve automation for their global Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) server and cloud services. The role involves working with large-scale Linux infrastructure impacting thousands of systems worldwide.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Linux server administration and engineering (RHEL, Ubuntu/Debian) in large-scale environments (10,000+ systems).
• At least 3 years of experience in Ansible scripting and comprehensive knowledge of Ansible Automation Platform, including infrastructure setup, API-driven automation, workflow creation, job scheduling, RBAC integration with Identity Management, and secrets management using tools like CyberArk or HashiCorp Vault.
• Strong knowledge of IT security principles and best practices.
• Solid understanding of DevOps, Agile principles (CI/CD, GitOps), and IT Service Management frameworks based on ITIL.
• Experience with enterprise patch management solutions such as Satellite, SUSE Manager, or BigFix.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and presentation skills for collaborating with a global, cross-cultural audience.

Nice to have:

• Experience with monitoring systems like Icinga, Zabbix, or CheckMK.
• Familiarity with data analytics and visualization tools such as Splunk or Power BI.
• Experience integrating Linux infrastructure with Active Directory and Privilege Access Management (PAM) solutions.

• Implement API-driven automations for global Linux and Cloud service operations according to Automation Framework and Roadmap.
• Design and automate OS installation, hardening, patch management, and upgrades for large Linux server environments.
• Improve automation for Incident, Problem, Change, and Configuration Management processes (ITIL).
• Maintain and secure CI/CD pipelines, addressing audit findings and IT risks.
• Ensure high availability of systems and collaborate with L1/L2 support teams to resolve escalated issues.
• Consult IT and DevOps teams on security best practices for Linux/Unix systems in on-premise and cloud environments.
• Perform host management, golden image management, and create automations for cloud platforms.
