Senior Linux Server Support Specialist

The role is focused on improving server support within a team comprising over a dozen employees and external consultants in Warsaw. The candidate will work closely with the Server Engineering team responsible for governance, security, architecture, and design, and the external support team based in India. The position involves projects and defining the future infrastructure to optimize and reduce incidents, as well as supporting IT operation and development teams.

• Minimum 5 years experience managing hundreds of RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Unix servers in enterprise environments.
• Practical experience with management and deployment tools, specifically RedHat Satellite.
• Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies and compute operations.
• Ability to design, build, implement, and maintain automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
• Experience in optimizing cloud spend, identifying and remediating security risks, and compliance across platforms.
• Skills in identifying, verifying, and remediating inconsistent configurations in hybrid-cloud environments.
• Familiarity with management and monitoring tools for RedHat/Unix and GCP infrastructures.
• Skilled in daily server management, incident response, and use of tools like JIRA, Confluence, and ServiceNow/Remedy.
• Capable of planning IT governance, including SOPs and compliance with cybersecurity policies.
• Proficient in English (spoken and written, minimum B2 level).
• Experience in financial institutions or highly regulated environments is a strong asset.

Nice to have:

• Experience managing other Unix OSs: Solaris, AIX, IBMi.
• Veritas Cluster Administration experience.
• Practical experience with VM support under VMware environments.
