SQL Server Migration Specialist

This position is with a client in the banking industry and involves work in Nordea's office located in Gdynia, Gdansk, and Warsaw.

• Strong experience administering Microsoft SQL Server (2016/2019/2022).
• Proven experience delivering SQL Server migration projects.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server Always On Availability Groups.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server Failover Clustering.
• Experience with backup and recovery solutions.
• SQL Server performance tuning.
• Understanding of enterprise IT governance, change management, and risk management processes.
• Experience with PowerShell automation.
• Knowledge of database migration tools.
• Performance and capacity management skills.
• Experience using monitoring and observability tools.

• Plan, coordinate, and execute migrations of Microsoft SQL Server databases and applications.
• Provision and migrate standalone SQL Servers to resilient environments (Hotel solution).
• Migrate SQL Server Always On Availability Group clusters ensuring secure, stable, and efficient migrations.
• Act as primary technical coordinator throughout the migration lifecycle.
• Work closely with application teams, infrastructure teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure successful onboarding.
• Coordinate complex technical projects involving multiple stakeholders.
• Implement high availability and disaster recovery configurations.

The consultant must be available for work in Nordea's office when requested.
