Software Engineer

Autodesk is a company disrupting industries such as architecture, engineering, construction, manufacturing, and media and entertainment through design software. They develop products used by professionals, artists, students, and hobbyists worldwide.

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience or equivalent.
• Solid experience in C++ programming.
• Working experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node.js, and web development.
• Ability and willingness to use AI technologies for software development processes.
• Experience to review, debug, and validate source code generated with AI assistance.
• Understanding of object-oriented development and basic software design practices.
• Some experience with and willingness towards data analysis including feature adoption statistics.
• Good teamwork and communication skills; communicative English.
• Ability to quickly learn new technology.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related engineering domain, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have:

• Experience with the Qt framework.
• Experience with Autodesk Fusion or CAD/design products.
• Experience with Git, CMake, or Docker.
• Experience with in-product onboarding, guided tours, or assistant-style UX.
• Experience analyzing product analytics dashboards, engagement funnels, or adoption metrics.
• Understanding of agile software development.

• Design and implement features to improve Fusion's ease of use through Autodesk Assistant, Insights, and Walkthrough experiences.
• Contribute to in-product guidance such as assistant integration, insights surfacing including nudges and engagement flows, and onboarding walkthroughs.
• Produce clean, effective, secure, maintainable, and well-documented source code for Fusion client and web components.
• Use AI-assisted development workflows responsibly, including writing clear specs, reviewing diffs, and testing.
• Unit test, debug, and resolve defects in software.
• Actively participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with teammates, QA, product, design, and adoption stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Support data-informed development by instrumenting features, collecting usage signals, and analyzing feature adoption statistics.
• Conduct and contribute to technical discussions.
