DevOps Engineer

Immersion Labs integrates VR, AR, AI, and Web technologies to create solutions for education, healthcare, defense, uniformed services training, and services. The company designs virtual training simulations, advanced therapeutic programs, interactive learning platforms, and product presentations with a global reach, primarily serving clients in the USA. The team consists of over 90 people working on innovative projects.

• Minimum 5 years of diverse experience in DevOps, system administration, or software engineering.
• Established experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in production environments.
• Good understanding of permission models (IAM), network segmentation, and securing GCP environments.
• Experience maintaining Kubernetes production environments and diagnosing issues.
• Proficiency in Linux administration, troubleshooting, package and system service management (e.g., systemd).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Experience designing or developing CI/CD processes using GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
• Knowledge of cloud networking, security best practices, and observability.
• Experience designing data storage strategies, backups, and recovery in GCP.
• Additional advantage: practical experience with AWS or Azure in production environments.

• Expansion and maintenance of infrastructure in GCP.
• Managing CI/CD processes and development, staging, production environments.
• Maintaining infrastructure and pipelines in efficient and reliable operation.
• Troubleshooting issues with root cause analysis.
• Proactively identifying vulnerabilities and improving environments.
• Ensuring observability through monitoring, logging, and alerts.
• Managing infrastructure security: permissions, segmentation, access control.
• Maintaining backup and data recovery strategies.
• Automating repetitive tasks using infrastructure as code.
• Managing performance and cost efficiency in GCP environments.
• Collaborating with technical management.
• Working with developers of Web, Unity3D, R&D, and QA teams.
