Sr. DevOps Engineer

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years hands-on DevOps experience on SaaS platforms using AWS.
• 3+ years as a platform engineer focused on automation and self-service systems.
• 3+ years experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform in AWS.
• Strong Kubernetes expertise including workloads, networking, security, and lifecycle management.
• Solid knowledge of CI/CD and GitOps workflows (e.g., ArgoCD, Kargo, GitHub Actions).
• Experience with observability tools such as Datadog and Splunk.
• Exposure to AIOps practices like anomaly detection and AI-assisted automation.
• Experience integrating infrastructure with Kubernetes (PV, PVC, StorageClass, CSI drivers).
• Providing L2 support for automation and platform infrastructure.
• Strong scripting/development skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Passion for automation, documentation, and platform engineering mindset.

Preferred:

• Experience building Kubernetes operators/controllers.
• Experience with claim-based or self-service provisioning.
• Familiarity with Cilium or eBPF-based CNI for Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery design and AWS testing.
• FinOps awareness and cloud cost optimization experience.
• Familiarity with secret management tools (e.g., Vault).
• Experience with AWS storage services (S3, EBS, EFS, FSx) and/or NetApp ONTAP.
• Experience with backup and data protection solutions (AWS Backup, Cohesity).

Platform Engineering & Automation:

• Design, build, and operate infrastructure automation across AWS using Terraform Enterprise, Ansible, Harness, Kubernetes, and GitOps.
• Support and evolve continuous delivery pipelines for reliable deployments.
• Build and maintain self-service capabilities for infrastructure consumption via Kubernetes-native APIs and GitOps.
• Design platform abstractions, golden paths, and reusable modules.
• Improve Kubernetes cluster reliability, scalability, and security.

Reliability, Observability & AIOps:

• Leverage AIOps for platform reliability including intelligent alerting and AI-assisted incident triage.
• Build and maintain observability using Datadog, Splunk, or equivalents.
• Write and improve production runbooks for automated operational procedures.
• Provide L2 support on automation systems and pipelines.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response processes.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:

• Collaborate with Production Ops, DBA, SRE, and engineering teams.
• Contribute to FinOps by implementing AWS cost optimization.
• Document architecture decisions and operational procedures.
• Promote platform engineering best practices and automation culture.

Infrastructure Breadth (incl. Storage, Networking, Identity):

• Automate and operate core infrastructure services (compute, storage, networking, identity).
• Integrate infrastructure with Kubernetes workloads and provisioning patterns.
• Support high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Contribute to automation and security compliance in Active Directory and DNS environments.
