Software Engineer - Platform Services

Snowflake is a company focused on providing a highly available, reliable, and scalable tools/services infrastructure for Cloud-based and SaaS Data Warehouse services. They maintain an agile delivery cadence while ensuring high stability and reliability for customers, supporting infrastructure that enables engineering teams to develop, test, debug, and release enterprise software quickly.

• At least 2+ years of experience in software development (SaaS experience preferred).
• Strong coding skills in Python, Java, C++, NodeJS and other software technologies preferred.
• Hands-on experience designing and working with modern CI/CD solutions.
• Comfortable with open systems environments and scripting experience.
• Experience with Cloud-based infrastructure systems is a plus (like AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Attention to detail and ability to build reliable and scalable software systems.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with a service-oriented mindset.
• Solid interpersonal skills suitable for a team environment.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple competing requests.
• Able to debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues.
• Strong work ethic and passion for problem-solving with a self-driven and motivated mindset.
• Experience and knowledge of Git, JIRA, Jenkins, and Snowflake is a plus.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker is a plus.
• Strong database understanding including SQL is a plus.

• Lead and contribute to engineering efforts from planning to delivery to solve complex engineering problems in tools and testing.
• Define and maintain policies around developer, test, and validation deployments.
• Design and build advanced CI/CD pipeline frameworks.
• Design and build tooling and infrastructure to help engineering teams measure and increase velocity.
• Drive adoption of best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability.
• Analyze and decompose complex software systems and collaborate with others to improve overall design.
• Collaborate with other teams on effective test coverage, software feature management, and resource spin-up.
