Wymagania
- 3+ years of experience in World Art QA, Art Testing, or similar game development quality roles.
- Experience creating and executing risk-based test plans for World Art features and environment content.
- Working knowledge of DCC tools such as Blender for investigating asset pipeline issues.
- Strong understanding of AAA environment pipelines including asset implementation, collision, lighting, materials, LODs, Nanite, World Partition, and streaming systems.
- Experience documenting defects using bug-tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
- Hands-on experience with Unreal Engine, including debugging environment issues using visualization and profiling tools.
- Ability to identify, isolate, reproduce, and report technical and visual defects related to World Art and performance.
- Effective collaboration skills with cross-disciplinary teams providing actionable artistic and technical feedback.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with structured, risk-based testing approaches.
- Excellent attention to detail focusing on environmental quality, visual consistency, composition, scale, and player experience.
- Passion for video games, World Art, environmental storytelling, and immersive player experiences.
Nice to have:
- Experience testing games on various platforms (PC, consoles, VR).
- Understanding of narration systems in movies and games (linear, branching, nonlinear, procedural).
- Familiarity with commercial game engines like Unreal Engine and Unity.
- Basic knowledge of QA automation tools or scripting.
Obowiązki
- Develop World Art QA test plans and strategies focusing on environment quality, world composition, asset implementation, collision, streaming, lighting, and technical art validation.
- Write and maintain test cases and validation checklists covering asset integration, collision integrity, traversal, world partition and streaming behavior, LOD transitions, Nanite validation, material consistency, lighting, and overall visual fidelity.
- Create, maintain, and organize test documentation, testing methodologies, defect reports, and quality standards for effective knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate closely with World Artists, Technical Artists, Designers, Engineers, and Production to ensure environments meet artistic vision, gameplay requirements, and technical specifications.
- Conduct strategic testing of game environments focused on composition, asset placement, collision, traversal, streaming performance, lighting quality, terrain, foliage, destructibles, and environmental storytelling.
- Identify, reproduce, document, and verify defects related to world art, environment assets, rendering, collision, streaming, lighting, performance, and stability.
- Analyze technical and content risks associated with world environments, asset pipelines, rendering systems, world partition, memory usage, and performance.
- Provide constructive feedback on environmental quality including composition, readability, consistency, scale, lighting, material quality, and storytelling.
- Test and evaluate world performance and stability across target platforms ensuring reliable streaming, rendering, memory use, frame rate, traversal, and gameplay stability.
- Utilize Unreal Engine debugging and visualization tools to investigate issues and partner with artists and engineers to isolate root causes.
- Establish World Art quality bars and define clear technical and artistic expectations with development partners.
- Embed within development pods, participate in content reviews, and advocate quality for rapid iteration and high-quality content delivery.
