Senior Data Engineer

The role is within a global leader in blockchain analytics, aiming to drive the technical direction of their data platform handling large blockchain and off-chain datasets.

• Proven ability to design, build, and maintain distributed data systems in cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with big data frameworks such as Spark or Databricks.
• Solid knowledge of cloud infrastructure, including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals with emphasis on clean, testable, efficient code.
• Ability to balance trade-offs between scalability, performance, resilience, and cost.
• Experience or interest in functional programming, data modelling, workflow orchestration, or AI-driven tools.
• English proficiency at C1 level or above.
• Polish language skills at B2 level or above.

Nice to have:

• Experience with stream processing frameworks and event-driven architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with containerised environments like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Interest in crypto and blockchain technologies.

• Architect, design, and implement large-scale distributed data systems and pipelines.
• Drive technical decisions balancing scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Explore and integrate new technologies to optimize performance and scalability.
• Contribute to platform-wide initiatives for reliability, observability, and cost efficiency.
• Take shared ownership of data systems from design to deployment and support.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, data scientists, and analysts.
• Mentor engineers, perform peer reviews, and promote best practices.
