Engineering Lead

Our end client is a US-based company operating a proprietary, AI-integrated SaaS platform in a regulated healthcare-adjacent sector, built on a modern AWS serverless stack. The position involves leading a ~15-person Poland-based engineering organization spanning Backend, Frontend, AI/ML, Data, QA, and DevOps.

• 10+ years of overall software engineering experience including 4+ years of technical leadership (Tech Lead / Engineering Manager) spanning multiple teams.
• Proven experience leading distributed or offshore teams in client-facing or vendor-delivery contexts.
• Strong hands-on architectural experience with AWS Serverless infrastructure (Lambda), Python/FastAPI, and modern frontend frameworks (ideally Angular/TypeScript).
• Fluent professional English (C1 level) with exceptional communication skills.
• Must be based in Poland and comfortable managing US time-zone overlap.

Strong Pluses:

• Practical experience delivering AI/LLM-integrated features in production (e.g., document classification, automated parsing, or RAG pipelines).
• Engineering background in regulated industries such as Healthcare, Medtech, Fintech, or Govtech.

• Provide daily technical direction across multiple cross-functional squads comprising backend, frontend, data, ML, QA, and DevOps engineers.
• Maintain architectural coherence across squads; enforce rigorous code review standards.
• Manage technical debt and escalate strategic architectural changes to the Fractional CIO.
• Oversee sprint-level delivery planning and manage cross-squad dependencies.
• Act as primary technical contact for senior US stakeholders, translating technical risks and progress into business metrics.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and continuous technical growth of the engineering team over 12–18 months.
