Applied AI Engineer -Poland(Remote)

DoiT is a global technology company specializing in cloud-driven business growth and innovation. The role is within the Business Systems Engineering division on the Fusion platform engineering team, focused on building a composable, event-driven internal platform using modern cloud technologies such as GCP and AI tools.

• Experience shipping and operating production software end to end.
• Proficiency in backend development using Python and/or Go, including designing and deploying services on Cloud Run.
• Proficiency in frontend development with TypeScript and React, building UI-complete features like dashboards and admin tools.
• Experience deploying and operating cloud infrastructure on GCP, with knowledge of IAM, secrets management, Cloud Run, and deployment pipelines.
• Experience with API and systems integration, including REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth flows, and event-driven patterns, managing failures, retries, and schema drift.
• Strong security practices including use of secrets management tools (SOPS, Secret Manager), no hardcoded credentials, and solid application security hygiene.
• Active use of AI tooling (Claude Code or equivalent) throughout the software development lifecycle, including reviewing AI-generated output critically and directing AI on complex implementation tasks.

Nice to have:

• Experience with workflow automation platforms (n8n, Zapier).
• Familiarity with BPMN/workflow engines like Camunda or Temporal for business process orchestration.
• Experience with systems-level programming including async runtimes, IPC, and process lifecycle.
• Knowledge of graph algorithms or graph databases such as Neo4j and Cypher.
• Experience with Rust and Tauri for desktop application development.
• Infrastructure as code experience with Terraform.
• Experience integrating large language model (LLM) APIs, prompt design, and tooling.
• AI safety and compliance knowledge including data boundaries and regulatory awareness.

• Own internal tools end to end, from problem understanding through design, implementation, deployment, and iteration.
• Build Python/Go services on Cloud Run, TypeScript/React web apps, and event-driven integrations on Pub/Sub.
• Integrate third-party SaaS platforms and cloud APIs, handling REST, webhooks, OAuth, and event-driven patterns including handling failures and retries.
• Build and maintain workflow automation and business process orchestration as named, observable flows instead of vendor scripts.
• Use AI tooling (Claude Code) effectively across the full development lifecycle and review AI-generated code for correctness, security, and type safety.
• Operate deployed systems including monitoring, reliability, cost, and failure modes.
• Contribute to shared engineering standards, playbooks, and internal tooling.
